Your study grant doesn’t automatically stop. The student is responsible for terminating the study grant, which can be done via My DUO. It is possible to terminate the study grant with immediate effect, or by selecting a future expiry date. It is possible to terminate your study grant via the internet. However, the termination of the student travel product has to be done via an OV-unit located on a train station. The student travel product has to be terminated no later than the fifth business day of the first month in which you no longer receive the study grant. In case you terminate your student travel product too late, it will cost you € 97 per half month. The first half of the month lasts up to the fifthteenth.
