The examination board was created to objectively and expertly assess whether a student meets the conditions stated in the Education and Examination Regulations (OER). Additionally, the examination board is responsible for organising tests and exams. The examination board is allowed to formulate regulations regarding the evaluation of exams. The examination board has the following duties and powers:
- ensuring the quality of tests and exams;
- establishing guidelines and safeguards within the OER;
- granting permission for an individually composed curriculum;
- granting exemptions;
- deprivation of a student’s right to take certain exams in case of fraud; and
- advise the board of the educational institution to disenrol a fraudulent student
