Gaining international experiences during your study has become increasingly important. With the increasing number of international students in the Netherlands, issues concerning international students have also become increasingly important to the Dutch Student Union (LSVb). Programs like Erasmus+ allow students within the EU to study in another EU country. The program also aims to enable 4 million students to study abroad. Erasmus+ estimated in 2015 that 182 400 Dutch higher education students have utilised the program to study abroad in 2017.
The Dutch Student Union is a supporter of internationalisation in higher education. It is our believe that studying abroad offers a great experience for every student. This is why the LSVb is working hard to help every student in the Netherlands, regardless of their nationality. The LSVb is an organisation that helps strengthen the position of students in both Dutch national politics as well as in the educational system. Providing information, organising events and maintaining contacts with other political organisations and politicians.
