The HBO Participation Foundation (hboMZ) supports students in HBO participation. Participation students are discussion partners for the Executive Board (CvB), management and programme coordinators. They discuss proposed policy, finances and (the quality of) education. These students can turn to HBO Medezeggenschap for advice, tips or direct support.
HBO Medezeggenschap is unique in the Netherlands. There is no other organisation that is so directly involved in supporting and strengthening HBO participation. HBO MZ responds to needs and provides information and training.
Activities HBO Medezeggenschap
Meetings
Hbo Medezeggenschap organises a Seasonal Session every quarter. This is where student representatives from all over the country come together to discuss the practice of participation and to talk about topics related to education.
National activities
Together with the Landelijk Overleg Fracties (LOF), hboMZ organises national training activities for student representatives several times a year.
Support and training
Hbo Medezeggenschap serves as a source of information and provides tips and advice on issues that concern student representatives. In addition, Hbo Medezeggenschap can provide training, for example on the rights and obligations of student representatives, but also on meeting techniques and training related to elections and succession.
