You are responsible for cancelling your student financing yourself!
Your student financing will not be cancelled automatically. You are responsible for cancelling your student financing yourself. It is possible to cancel your student financing immediately or to specify an end date in the future. You can log in to MijnDuo with your DigiD and indicate that you want to stop your student financing. Make sure you stop your student financing no later than the first day of the month in which you are not allowed or do not want to receive student financing. You must also cancel your student travel product
You can cancel your student financing online, but you must cancel your student travel product at a collection machine. These collection machines can be found at train stations and in shops. You can find your nearest one via this link. This must be done no later than the fifth working day of the first month without student financing. If the student travel product is cancelled too late, it will cost €81.40 per half month. The first half of the month runs until the fifteenth of the month.
