Studenten Goed Verzekerd: Compiled by the LSVb, ISO and Menzis
Every Dutch citizen over the age of 18 is required to take out health insurance. Especially for students, there is Studenten Goed Verzekerd, created by LSVb and ISO. This health insurance is tailored to the care that many students use, such as mental health care.
The Menzis basic package is available from €151,25 per month. In addition, supplementary insurance can be taken out at a low cost thanks to discounts of up to 20%. There is a wide choice of three supplementary insurance policies, three dental insurance policies and a combination policy. The JongerenVerzorgd combination policy gives you access to both supplementary and dental reimbursements.

- With all supplementary insurance policies, you receive many free extras because you are part of a collective. These include extra physiotherapy treatment and 100% reimbursement of the Mental Check-In.

Applying for health insurance for students
If you turn 18 during the year, you are required by law to apply for health insurance yourself. Are you already a student in Dutch higher education at that time, or are you going to study in the near future? Then you can take out health insurance with Studenten Goed Verzekerd.
Are you already insured elsewhere and would you like to switch to Studenten Goed Verzekerd? Then you can switch before 1 January. Menzis will arrange the switch and also ensure that your old insurance is cancelled. You can fill in your details and take out health insurance via the website Menzis.nl.student.
